Nina Kontos has almost 20 years of experience in communications. She is currently Senior Director, Global Communications for Gap brand, based in New York. She is responsible for CEO/executive communications and overall internal communications, including change and business communications, as well as employee experience. She previously worked at Google, where she held a number of leadership roles in communications, including leading communications for global People Operations, and executive communications for the Americas business organization. At Google, she also helped build overall internal and change communications practices across the company. She has also held roles in corporate communications at Unilever, Altria Corporate Services and got her start as a PR and change consultant at Burson-Marsteller. Nina served on the board of Cause Effective from 2005-2015 (including chairing the Board in 2014) and was a member of the Education Committee of the Anti-Defamation League. She has been a team leader for the New York Women’s Foundation Grants Advisory Committee, and has volunteered for Citizen Schools, Step Up Women’s Network, inMotion and New York Cares. Nina is trilingual, a travel enthusiast, native New Yorker and a mom. She received a BA in Sociology from Wesleyan University and an MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, Teachers College.
